The ClearWater Philosophy, and Why It Matters

In a field that seems to re-invent itself daily, ClearWater Computer Services has been in business for a decade by identifying three critical, unchanging elements:

  • Our customers must trust us.
  • We cannot sell that trust - we can only earn it.
  • We won't earn your trust with hip slogans or flashy promotions; we will earn it steadily, each time we answer a question, provide a solution, or fix a problem.

When I started CWCS, I had been involved with computers since early childhood. I had also spent several years working for other companies in the industry. Eventually, I began to see a need for a computer company that focused primarily on service for business people.

Trust was an immediate issue. In addition to being overwhelmed by the rapidly emerging technologies, many businesses had been through negative experiences with the computer/technology companies who moved in to advise them. Customers were often pushed toward new technology simply because it was available, with little consideration given to their specific needs. When I was working with our very first clients ten years ago, I noticed that they appreciated my willingness to reverse the usual process: I got to know their company, learned how they conducted business, and only then did I make specific suggestions on the technologies best suited to help their business grow. The approach was no gimmick. It was a well-thought-out, honest attempt to earn my clients' trust.

And it worked. It wasn't long before I needed help. Today, CWCS is a team comprised of nine individuals, each uniquely qualified - not only in the field of computer technology, but uniquely qualified to maintain the CWCS philosophy of building client trust. I have hand-picked each individual based on my knowledge of their ability and character, and they have not disappointed me. Their range of background experience spans manufacturing, technical service, business administration, sales, installation and repair. Our abilities - based on accumulated experience and extensive ongoing training - allow us to serve your needs well beyond simple elements of technology.
